Privacy Statement
At Proseek Bio we really appreciate how important it is to manage the security of private information well. We respect and value your personal information and we acknowledge that you trust us to manage it in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This Privacy Statement explains how we will do that. In the text below we outline how and why we collect your personal information, how you can get access to and correct any personal information that we hold about you, how we protect your personal information and what happens if we change this Privacy Statement in the future.

We know how boring the fine print can be, but we’d really appreciate it if you would read this Privacy Statement just so you can make the choices that are best for you.
Types of Information We Collect
Proseek Bio may request information from you that we consider necessary to deliver our business services, improve our services to you, or just to understand you, our valued customer, a lot better so that we can fine tune our business offerings to you.

We also request information from time to time that we need in order to comply with our own legal obligations, or just to communicate with you. This information includes your name, address, telephone numbers, email address, details of your employment such as your job title and company name, information about your business and how it works, the services and products you use, suppliers you work with and any other items that you tell us about or agree that we may access from third parties in order to deliver advice and services to you.
How We Collect Information
We collect this information in a number of ways. This may be through verbal advice from you, for example when you speak with one of our staff, or in writing, either electronically such as in emails, or in hard and soft copy documents such as surveys, contracts and workbooks. We might also obtain information about you from third parties such as other suppliers you use, referees or advisors. Sometimes we collect information from outside sources such as marketing lists or public sources like LinkedIn and Facebook.

When you sign up to our email list, when you apply for a job with us, when you use one of our online workbooks, when you engage with our company and talk about what you do, or when you use our products or resources, you share your personal information with us and we collect it to tailor our services to you.
Cookies
Our website also uses Cookies to collect your information. A Cookie is a small file that our website places in your browser to collect information about how you use the website in order to improve your experience. You can manage cookies by changing the security and privacy settings in your web browser. However, if you choose to do this, our websites may not work the way they were designed to.
Sensitive Information
We will only collect and use sensitive information with your consent and in accordance with applicable Australian laws.

From time to time we might request that you provide us with personal information about other individuals in order to deliver our services to you. A good example of this is when we request the contact details of suppliers that you use who we might need to check in with or include in work we deliver for you. If we do this, we rely on you to have informed those individuals that you are giving their personal information to us and to have advised them about Proseek Bio’s Privacy Statement and how they can get a copy. We will look after their personal information just as we look after yours.
Your Rights
You do not have to provide your personal information when we ask for it. If you choose to withhold requested information, we may be unable to provide you with products or services that depend on that information, especially where collection is required by law.

Proseek Bio may use your information to advise you of new products and services or special offers. Whenever you receive these offers, there will be an unsubscribe option. You can also change your notification preferences with us at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer at privacy@proseekbio.com.
Holding Your Personal Information
Once we have collected personal information, we may hold it in electronic or hard copy formats. Sometimes we engage third parties to host electronic data such as SaaS solutions or cloud services on our behalf. When this happens, we make sure that security measures are in place to protect your information. This may include physical security such as secure facilities and lockable filing cabinets, and technological controls such as firewalls, encryption, passwords and multi-factor authentication.
Sharing Your Personal Information
From time to time, Proseek Bio uses a range of service providers to help us deliver products and services. This means that third parties sometimes have access to personal information that we hold. When this occurs, we only provide secure access to the specific information they need to perform their function. We require all third-party suppliers to maintain the same level of privacy and security as Proseek Bio, to keep information confidential and not to use it for any unauthorised purpose.

We do not routinely disclose personal information to any other third party. We may share non-personal, de-identified and aggregated information for research or promotional purposes. We will never sell your details to marketing agencies without your consent.
Where a service or product is delivered by a partner organisation, we may provide them with the information they require to deliver it. Proseek Bio will not disclose or use any personal information about you without your consent unless we are required or authorised to do so by an Australian law, regulation, court order, subpoena or warrant. In special circumstances, such as the sale of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that sale.
Disposal of Personal Information
Once your information is no longer required, or no longer needs to be held for compliance reasons such as accounting records, we will take all reasonable steps to delete it or permanently de-identify it.
How We Secure Your Information
Proseek Bio may store your personal information in hard copy form in locked filing cabinets in our secure offices, or electronically including on secure servers in controlled third-party facilities. Where you are paying us online for our services, we ensure that payments are processed through a secure gateway service. We retain details to allow us to verify transactions and customer details and to maintain compliant accounting and legal records.

We will take all reasonable steps to protect your data, however no internet transmissions are completely secure. While we will act to protect your information, we cannot warrant the security of information transmitted from you to us or vice versa.

Proseek Bio reserves the right to change this Privacy Statement at any time and notify you by posting an updated version of the Statement on our website. We encourage you to check back from time to time, as the amended Statement will apply between us whether or not we have given you specific notice of the change.
